Mr. Udoh, who is the Managing Director of Legacy Tourism Development Services Ltd Uyo and Chairman of the pioneer self-regulated professional tourism and hospitality association, Akwa Ibom Tourism and Hospitality Practitioners’ Association (AKTHOPA), noted that the solidarity visit to Sen. Godswill Akpabio, shortly after he was sworn in as the 15th Senate President in the country, was a show of kinsmanship in line with the Pastor Umo Eno’s “Arise Agenda”.

The pioneer chairman of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) in Akwa Ibom State, maintained that Akwa Ibom, “The Land of Promise” remains a united and one indivisible family with common interest and creed under the “Golden Era” of Pastor Umo Eno”s administration which lays emphasis on happiness of all citizens, irrespective of political affiliations, religion and ethnic divide.

According to Mr. Udoh, the solidarity visit of the governor speaks volumes of Pastor Umo Eno’s sterling leadership qualities and respect for statesmen and those in authority, adding that the “Arise Agenda” of Pastor Umo Eno stresses the need “to rise together” in unity to further deepen democratic values in the polity, which is an essential ingredient for the socio-economic and political stability of the state, being an emerging travel, tourism and hospitality hub in the Gulf of Guinea.

Mr. Udoh who was full of praises for the newly sworn-in President of the Nigerian Senate, reiterated that the legacies of Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio in Akwa Ibom State, remain indelible in the sands of time, pointing out that his eight years as governor of Akwa Ibom state witnessed uncommon transformation in all sectors of the state’s economy.

He noted that a united Akwa Ibom State under Pastor Umo Eno will work together with all stakeholders to achieve her common goals by harmoniously resolving all perceived conflicts, reiterating that togetherness usually creates a stable and harmonious environment, necessary for growth and development of every society.

Mr. Usen also who doubles as Akwa Ibom State facilitator of the South-South Tourism Roundtable, said cooperation strengthens integration, and that Pastor Umo Eno has demonstrated his ability to rally round leaders to work effectively and respectfully, making compromises and building consensus in decision-making with a view to assuming shared responsibility for collaborative work in the overal linterest of the people.

“The Power of Unity says we are all interconnected. It is time for our political leaders to explore the power of unity in our quest to attract more socio-economic developments to our people. Seeing our leaders working together is a thing of joy as such cooperation will enable them to put resources together so that Akwa Ibom State can be on the fast lane of socio-economic and infrastructural development.

“The importance of connection and compassion are key tenets of conscious discipline. Connection is an essential impulse that is needed for survival. It keeps us in an optimal brain state that facilitates learning and problem solving. Therefore, unity and harmony are vital for a team or organisation to self-actualise and achieve set objectives.

“To grow unity and harmony, the heart and the spirit of the individuals leaders need to be aligned with trusting relationships, just as people must be empowered positively to believe in themselves. If there is unity and integration, the resources from different ethnic nationalities or groups could be jointly exploited and enjoyed by all stakeholders.

“Brotherhood is the secret sauce made up of regard for one another (respect); taking charge of one’s own life and helping others do the same (responsibility); showing empathy and inclusivity to one another (tolerance); and being true and honorable which is honesty.

“The holy Bible says: “If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, can not love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.”

“Our brotherhood as a people united under one greed can not be wiped out because it is not an organization in the ordinary sense. Nothing holds our brotherhood together except an ideal kinsmenship, which is indestructible. Brotherhood is important because it creates a feeling of oneness, thereby spreading peace and prosperity to all and sundry.

“While brotherhood ensures the affectionate bond for the sake of the creator, unity ensures the pursuit of our common goals towards the fulfilment of the purpose of creation.” Mr. Udoh maintained.
