2023:We Will Run An All-inclusive Government In Akwa Ibom – Pastor Umo Eno.

As the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) rounds off its gubernatorial rally in Akwa Ibom State on Wednesday, the Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Umo Eno has again assured the people of running an all-inclusive government, saying that he has forgiven everyone who had hurt him in the course of his quest for the governorship.

Pastor Umo Eno, who made the commitment at the grand finale of the PDP governorship campaign rally in Onna Local Government Area, on Wednesday called on the people of the state to choose the PDP as against voting for any other party that will take the state backwards, just as he urged the electorates to make the right choices as they would have to live with the consequences thereafter.

“There is a choice before us today. It is a choice between good and bad, between light and darkness. You have to choose between selling your future or building your future. The Bible says there are two ways: the way of life and the way of death. And, the Bible also counsels us to choose life.

” Life for us means continuity of projects, creating employment, massive rural development, building schools, supporting small businesses, constructing cottage hospitals, and creating a middle class.

“The choice to make in this election is whether we take the state back to the dark days or we want a state where a Pastor becomes a High Priest and intercedes for the people of Akwa Ibom State. That is the choice that we must make. Akwa Ibom state, I counsel you today to go forward,” he stated.

The governorship candidate urged the people to vote for the PDP at the polls to ensure that the peace brought to the state by Governor Udom Emmanuel would be sustained.

Pastor Eno said that the PDP is the only political party in the state that has told the people what it has in store for them as well as made its campaigns strictly issue-based after conducting a thorough needs assessment.

“I stand here to promise that I will not take Akwa Ibom backwards. I stand here to promise that despite everything I have been through, I forgive everybody. Politics will come and go but Akwa Ibom is for all of us.

He commended Governor Emmanuel for the numerous development projects in the state especially the Ibom Air, different road projects, general hospitals, Dakkada Tower, Eket Stadium, Uyo Stadium, and the International worship centre among others and assured that his administration would focus on continuity by connecting the dots for full chain benefits.

Governor Udom Emmanuel who also addressed the spectacular crowd that thronged the venue of the event, urged the people to translate their massive support into votes during the presidential and national assembly elections which will hold on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The governor implored the people to vote for the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and all other candidates of the party.

Speaking of Pastor Eno, the Governor said “Everywhere I go, people come to me to tell me that I have a man of capacity, a man of courage, an intelligent man, a man who can run the economy. When I hear all these, I just say, God be the glory.”

Also speaking on the sideline of the grand finale of the PDP governorship campaign rally in Onna Local Government Area, on Wednesday, Chairman of the campaign strategic communication sub-committee and coordinator of the Coalition of Akwa Ibom Tourism and Hospitality Forum, Mr. Usen Udoh maintained that Pastor Umo Eno remains the best candidate as far private sector driven economy is concerned.

Mr. Udoh recalled that the Akwa PDP gubernatorial flag bearer, Pastor Umo Bassey had hinted on his plans of repositioning the state’s tourism sector to become a world class tourism destination in Africa, adding that with Pastor Eno as the next governor, Akwa Ibom will emerge as a sustainable and competitive tourism destination.

According to Mr. Udoh, at the maiden edition of the “Akwa Ibom State Tourism Roundtable 2022”, with theme, “Akwa Ibom State: Succeeding in the Land of Limitless Possibilities”, held at the Watbridge Hotel Uyo, sometime last year, Pastor Bassey Eno, unveiled the tourism and hospitality entrepreneurial fund, named after him.

He said the PDP governorship candidate also pledged the sum of 5million naira as seed fund for the development of “Akwa Ibom Tourism Blueprint 2023”, informing that the proposed Tourism Blueprint will facilitate the building of a thriving visitor economy in the state.
